Performer inductees included the Allman Brothers Band, pioneers of Southern rock; Al Green, known for his soulful voice and hits like "Let's Stay Together"; Janis Joplin, whose powerful vocals made her a rock icon; Led Zeppelin, legendary for their hard rock sound; Martha and the Vandellas, famous for Motown classics; Neil Young, recognized for his impactful songwriting and guitar work; and Frank Zappa, celebrated for his experimental music and satire. The Orioles were honored in the Early Influences category for their foundational contributions to R&B and doo-wop. Additionally, music journalist Paul Ackerman received the Ahmet Ertegun Award for his significant contributions to the music industry.
