As this wonderfully-curated collection demonstrates, though the group's appeal may not have had the major impact the trio would later experience, a number of recordings on this appropriately-titled 'Heartbroken Memories' album found fame and resonance on the Northern Soul scene, in particular with tracks such as "Gotta Draw The Line," "Do What You're Supposed To Do", "Are You Satis-fied" and "Contact." The group's origins stem from when Richard Barrett auditioned three local teenagers to form a female trio which he envisioned would achieve success beyond his work with The Chantels. Now, courtesy of David Nathan (Soul City co-founder), we revisit the foundation of one of the world's most popular and enduring girl groups.

Sheila Ferguson Feat. the Three Degrees Heartbroken Memories

Sheila Ferguson Feat. the Three Degrees How Did That Happen

the 3 Degrees Gotta Draw the Line

the 3 Degrees Do What You're Supposed to Do

Sheila Ferguson Feat. the Three Degrees Signs of Love

Sheila Ferguson Feat. the Three Degrees Don't (Leave Me Lover)

the Three Degrees Feat. the Three Degrees Contact

the 3 Degrees Drivin' Me Mad

the 3 Degrees Are You Satis-Fied

Sheila Ferguson Feat. the Three Degrees and in Return

the 3 Degrees Tales Are True

the 3 Degrees Mine All Mine

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0515/5982/5577/files/THE_THREE_DEGREES_HEARTBROKEN_MEMORIES_VINYL_LP.jpg?v=1791515850
