Motown Records' Black Forum started with a bang when the new label released Why I Oppose the War in Vietnam as its first album in 1970. Originally recorded in April 1967 at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA, Why I Oppose the War in Vietnam was one of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s last and most important speeches. Ultimately, the release won a GRAMMY Award for Best Spoken Word Album in 1971 and is being reissued on vinyl for the first time since 1970.
